This Regulator is still distributed all over the world in spite of the fact that the Patent Protection

has expired.

This Invention initiated a revolutionary improvement for Instantaneous Water Heaters in the early 70's.

Many other applications followed, like Faucet outlets, Shower Heads for water savings.

This invention found it's way into many industrial applications achieving precise regulation of flow

independent of variations in incoming medium pressure.

To the best of my knowledge a Swiss based company is now manufacturing this Regulator and

basically nothing has changed. The photos below show regulators which I manufactured during the 1970's.

According to the last information, I received, the annual sales are at 220 Million units annually.

This makes meproud: to say the least - and my compliments to this company for great marketing and

obviously innovative and good manufacturing practices.

The standard regulators start approximately at a threshold pressure of 15 psi and reach approximately

up to 175 psi for the standard versions.

We also developed a regulator with a special pressure sensitive attachment which shuts off in the

higher pressure range leaving only smaller permanent openings for the higher pressure.

This version can start as early as 3 psi depending on factors like nominal flow, system resistance etc.

and also functions up to approximately 175 psi and higher.

This model was mainly designed to reduce flow noise <db(A)> and still to be applicable at low

pressures.
