Born and raised
in Michigan’s “Upper Peninsula”. Nancy began studying the piano at
age three. |
When she
reached twelve years, she was accepted by Mrs. Nellie Hastings for
advanced |
classical
training. During the eight years she spent with
Mrs. Hastings, Nancy, at age seventeen, |
was taken
to
Chicago to be introduced to and play for Dame
Myra Hesse. After hearing her play, |
Dame
Hess predicted a
long musical career with emphasis on composition. |

In 1973, Nancy
moved to Chicago and began working as a pianist, singer, composer
and
vocal coach.
She also has
co-written four musicals which were performedfor select audiences, |
produced and
arranged studio recording for several artists.
Over the years, Nancy has played |
engagements
at many of Chicago’s top hotels and clubs, performing for many
celebrities including: |
Sammy Davis Jr.
Tony Bennet |
Steve Martin, |
Robert Redford |
just to
mention a few. |
She also
shared social time with
Jazz
“greats” George Sheering, Marion Mc Partland and |
many others
that visited
the musical community. |

Spontaneous Composition

many years.
Nancy performed
a
Spontaneous Concert
in 1985 which
was recorded and |
produced on CD
and

She also
developed a new style of Jazz. Her
"Unique Jazzy Sound & Arrangements"
gives her
audience
the
opportunity to dance to her music. Nancy produced a CD: "Danceable
Jazz" |
